Greetings!

The Box Brothers Band is a musical group consisting of five long-time members of the Central Iowa community. Each member of this unique group has a different musical background, performing gospel, big band, funk, contemporary Christian, blues, soul, country/western, and classic rock & roll music. After years of other endeavors, we have decided to “return to our musical roots” and play the music we love so much... soul and rock & roll. This music is near and dear to the hearts of those who graduated from high school in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, and has become quite popular with the high school and college crowds. Our eclectic musical backgrounds and experiences, combined with the great sound of this musical period, results in great music for dancing and listening.

If we were to describe ourselves it would go something like this...

• hard-driving R&B and Soul in the style of the Commitments, Three Dog Night, The Temptations, classic Motown and Stax

• classic rock from the Beatles, Bad Company, Jimmy Buffett, Santana, and more

• modern blues like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, and Coco Montoya

• choice country selections by Patsy Cline, The Mavericks, and Dwight Yoakam

• ballads and slow tunes by Roy Orbison, Three Dog Night, BB King, Cole Porter, and the Righteous Brothers

We have extensive experience in the music and entertainment industry and have played for small parties and larger celebrations, including community celebrations to commemorate holidays and special events.  We love to play this music, and we strive to share our enthusiasm and energy with your family and friends.  Lastly, we take pride in our professionalism and appearance, allowing you to focus on your party and let us provide with just the right amount of entertainment.

The Box Brothers would like to be of service to you in your celebration, graduation party, wedding reception, corporate party, or any other event where music might be enjoyed. Our songs are selected and arranged specifically for each party to ensure the best flow of music and to keep the show fresh.  Given a bit of notice, we can often add one of your personal favorite tunes to the list!
